A grade is a record of an inspection carried out on a specific date against the bar set out on the Standard: measurements taken, photographs captured, and a checklist answered by the person who did the work. It describes the tire's condition when it was inspected.
A grade is not a promise about how the tire will perform, how long it will last, or whether it suits your vehicle or your driving. Tires wear, take damage, and age after inspection. Fitment, inflation, and safe installation are matters for you and the shop fitting them.
We do not sell any warranty, coverage, or protection product, and no grade carries one.
Reserving holds a listing for you and passes your contact details to the shop. It costs nothing, takes no payment details, and is not a contract to buy. Either side can walk away: you are free not to turn up, and the shop is free to release the hold.
The price shown is the shop's asking price at the time of the reservation. What you finally pay is between you and the shop.
The shop is the seller. Money changes hands at the shop, the tire is handed over at the shop, and any receipt, refund, return, or dispute is with the shop. RealTreads is not a party to the sale and never takes custody of a tire.
Your statutory rights against the seller are unaffected by anything on this page.
You grade tires honestly, against the published Standard, on tires you actually hold. Photographs must be of the tire being graded. Do not submit a manufacturer image, a stock photo, or a picture of a different tire.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you publish, for holding a reserved tire in good faith, and for meeting the legal obligations of selling tires where you operate. A tire the Standard rejects as unsafe must not be sold as roadworthy, here or anywhere.
We may remove a listing or withdraw access where gradings do not reflect the tires, or where the Standard is not being followed.
Do not scrape it, hammer it with automated requests, attempt to reach accounts or records that are not yours, or submit anything unlawful. Automated access is rate limited, and we may block access that degrades the service for others.
The site is offered as it stands. We work to keep it accurate and available, and we cannot promise it is uninterrupted or error free. To the extent the law allows, our liability for use of this site is limited to the amount you paid us for it, which for buyers is nothing.
